What is IPC? IPC is a coloring system for plasters, including swimming pools, stucco, and decorative wall application. The packaging is one gallon jugs of a liquid that disperses evenly and uniformly in the typical 1,000 pound plaster batch. Unlike the use of powder colors, the batch consistency of IPC is extremely high because each jug is weight-filled with less than a 0.5% variation. Can I get a custom color? Yes…..IPC can be made, for a reasonable up-front lab fee, in almost any color hue and color density. |
What is exceptional about IPC? IPC colors are all extremely fine-grind slurries of organic and inorganic pigments. They are “automobile grade lightfast” colors (the best and most expensive by far) for UV stability. The pigments are “tagged” with a binding acrylic resin on a 1-to-1 basis so the color is more “bound” into the plaster instead of staying as a particle that might migrate out. | What changes pool plaster color? Plaster color consistency and durability is strongly influenced by many things, including the plaster composition and technique of plastering. Most significant for color consistency and durability is the water chemistry at “start up” and maintenance. Water can be made extremely “aggressive” to pool plaster and color by methods and chemistries that are considered standard. Color change is often the indicator system for these changes. Because of these variables the IPC product is sold as is. There are no warranties, implied nor expressed including warranties of merchantability on the IPC products. |
