These photos of custom color plaster samples were taken outside in bright sunlight under water. Some of the speckles are due to bubbles in the water and the resulting shadows on the sample. | ||||
Guidelines for custom colormatches We offer custom colormatching for our pool plaster pigment. This increasingly popular service results in beautiful pools, but there a few items to remember in order to streamline the process. COLOR SAMPLE First, we need a sample of the color. This can be a color chip from a paint store, a tile or even a painted board. We have samples of most of the Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore and ICI paint colors on site if you can give us a number. Please don’t try to describe the color to us over the phone. Individual ideas about color intensities and shades vary widely, to say the least. TIME FRAME After we receive your sample, someone from the lab will call you to confirm the color and discuss the order. After the color confirmation call, it will take approximately two weeks until we can ship a plaster sample to you for approval. After you approve the sample, it will take a couple of days to produce your custom color and then ship it out to you. ONE COLOR AT A TIME We will only match to a single color. If you have a multi-colored tile to send in for us to colormatch… please circle the color that you want matched. If you want two different colors matched, we can do that - but it’s a whole separate colormatch and fee. MONEY We cannot quote you a price on the finished product until after the color is matched. Some colors take large pigment loads to achieve, some use very expensive pigments. We will let you know as soon as we know. We will bill you for the colormatch when we send you the finished product. CONSISTANCY Our samples are made using 1 part white cement to 1.5 parts white pool mix (marble dust). If you change this ratio, or add other things, it will change the resulting color. Thank you for your interest in a custom color. |
